RF Power Meters & Sensors

RF power meters measure RF power in time and statistical domains over a frequency range of 100 MHz to 40 GHz. Power meters are made up of the meter that displays the power reading and the sensor head that connects to both the meter and the device under test (DUT). When selecting a power meter, the user must ensure they are matching the RF signals and modulation types.

RF power sensors perform power measurement and analysis in conjunction with other test equipment, such as RF power meters and spectrum analyzers. There are multiple modulations available for power sensors, and users must choose which applies to their test requirements. Modulations allow engineers to measure a variety of characteristics ranging from average, peak, continuous wave (CW), and pulse waveforms. It is essential that power sensors are selected based on the required frequency range and dynamic range, in addition to the modulation format.

RF power meters and sensors are essential to a variety of industries including auto manufacturing, aerospace, defense, and consumer. These industries rely on power specifications for the design of RF components and contribute to the performance of roughly all devices that generate microwaves.

Avalon Test Equipment carries a variety of RF power meters and sensors from top manufacturers (Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, and more) to meet your test requirements.

Rent or purchase RF power meters & sensors from Avalon so you can Test With Confidence®.

Teseq ITS 6006B Test System

The ITS 6006 consist of an integrated RF signal generator, RF switch and EUT monitoring interfaces. The unit is designed for various radiated EMC applications in the 80 MHz to 6 GHz frequency range. In addition to the generator, the system includes the AM and PM modulators necessary for EMC testing. The second generation, called ITS 6006B, includes 3 freely configurable pulse modulators (1 µs to 200 s) for radar pulse profiles as required e.g. by Ford FMC1278 or VW TL81000. The RF signal can be switched to one of four outputs, where up to four power amplifiers can be connected directly. Two RF switches are supplied for combining four amplifier into two antenna paths.

Narda RadMan 2XT

Affordable RF Exposimeter RadMan 2LT and RadMan 2XT Radiation Monitors are warning devices for the protection of people who work in areas where increased levels of electromagnetic radiation are present. Electromagnetic Energy/Electromagnetic Fields (EME/EMF). Broadcasting, telecommunications and radar antennas are sources of strong electromagnetic fields. The device is worn on the body and warns its user in good time before the permitted limit values are exceeded.
