This software extension allows RF engineers to record signal strength with positional data and visualize it in real-time or post-processing using a map interface.
By correlating RF measurements with location data, the Mapping and Localization option enables efficient identification of signal sources, interference patterns, and coverage areas. It supports both manual and automated direction finding workflows and is especially valuable in scenarios involving drive testing, emitter hunting, and spectrum clearing.
The option can be used with Google Maps-style interfaces (where available) and includes features such as track recording, marker placement, signal logging, and coverage heatmaps.
