Loop antennas are named after their loop shape and are a low-frequency antenna used for EMC testing through the measurement of electromagnetic fields. They come in a variety of active, passive, and shielded models with and without built-in preamplifiers. The small size of the loop antenna makes it very convenient for testing.
These antennas typically run in the frequency range of 1kHz to 30 MHz and are favorable for radiated emissions testing compliant with MIL-STD, FCC, and CISPR standards. A complete test setup for radiated emissions would also include a preamp, operating within the same frequency range as the loop antenna, and a spectrum analyzer.
Avalon Test Equipment carries a variety of loop antennas to meet your requirements. Rent or purchase from Avalon and Test With Confidence®.
