High Power Horn Antennas

A high power horn antenna is a horn antenna that operates at a higher frequency and is commonly used in automotive testing. A horn antenna, also known as a microwave horn, is a type of antenna that is made of a flaring metal waveguide that is shaped like a horn. Through the emission of radio waves in a beam, horn antennas are able to boost the control of the direction of emissions. Horn antennas usually operate at microwave and ultra-high frequencies over 300 MHz. Besides a better degree if directivity of emissions, they also allow for a broad bandwidth and a lower standing wave ratio. To perform radiated immunity EMC testing, a horn antenna can be used to radiate RF in an anechoic chamber.

Avalon Test Equipment carries a variety of horn antennas from top manufacturers (Com-PowerAmplifier ResearchA.H. Systems, and more) to meet your testing requirements. Rent or purchase from Avalon and Test With Confidence®.
