Available Configurations

The 100A400AM20 from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a solid-state, self-contained, air-cooled, broadband amplifier that operates from 4 kHz to 400 MHz. The device is designed for applications such as MIL-STD 461 and the CS114 test standard along with any application where instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and linearity are required. It provides minimum 100 watts of RF power with a gain of over 50 dB. The amplifier can be controlled from a front panel allowing the operator to conveniently set the desired output level. It is available in a compact contemporary cabinet for benchtop use or with the cabinet removed for rack mounting.

The 100A400AM20 is protected from RF input overdrive by an RF input leveling circuit which controls the RF input level to the RF amplifier first stage when the RF input level is increased above 0 dBm. The RF amplifier stages are protected from over-temperature by removing the DC voltage to them if an overtemperature condition occurs due to cooling blockage or fan failure. The front panel indicates the operating status and fault conditions if an over-temperature or power supply fault has occurred. The unit can be returned to operate when the condition has been cleared.
